ABOUT THE CONGRESS
The 13th All-Russian Congress of Traumatologists and Orthopaedists is the flagship event of the Russian school of traumatology and orthopaedic surgery, held once every four years under the auspices of the Russian Association of Traumatologists and Orthopaedists.
In 2026, Kazan will host the Congress, continuing the tradition of the largest professional forum bringing together industry leaders, leading academic schools, heads of specialist centres, representatives of the professional community and practising doctors from across the country and abroad. The Congress serves as a prestigious platform for discussing key areas of development in traumatology, orthopaedic surgery and related specialities; modern technologies for the diagnosis, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal disorders; and for exchanging experiences and formulating solutions that will shape the future of the speciality.

As part of the 2026 Congress in Kazan, plans are in place to host a specialist committee session of the Russian Ministry of Health, a conference for young scientists, and sessions for nurses and healthcare HR professionals. A themed exhibition will also be organised, featuring medical and pharmaceutical companies showcasing the latest advances in traumatology and orthopaedic surgery. The highlight of the first day of the Congress will be the 'Power of Movement' Awards ceremony, honouring the industry's leading figures.
The scale of the event is demonstrated by the results of the previous Congress: in 2022, it attracted 2,617 in-person participants and 6,728 online attendees; over 650 oral presentations were delivered, 590 abstracts were accepted, and 95 posters were presented; and the scientific programme covered more than 20 fields.
